Best Practices for your Big Day

How to Prep For Your Hair Trial

  • Blow-dry with mousse if your hair is down

  • Do not show up with damp hair or hair that has been in a messy bun

  • If your hair doesn't hold a curl, it's probably not the best option to wear it down. Come with a few different ideas in mind. Your artist will collaborate to make the best option while keeping your desired vision

How to Prep For Your Makeup Trial

  • Come with a clean, makeup-free and moisturized face

  • If you plan to spray tan on your wedding day, consider coming with a tan for your trial as well. This will help keep an accurate representation of your day-of makeup

  • Wear white to get a feel of how the makeup will look with your dress

  • Start or maintain a good skincare routine and think about trying a dermaplane facial. Proper skincare is key for makeup to perform it’s best

How to Prep For Your Wedding Day Hair

Leading Up:

  • Schedule your hair appointment (cut/color) for your wedding 1-2 weeks before the big day. This timeframe allows your hair to settle into its desired style and gives you some flexibility for any adjustments or touch-ups if needed

Day Of:

  • Come with clean, dry hair. Prep with styling product if blow drying

  • Do not show up with damp hair or hair that has been in a messy bun

  • Wear a button down shirt or robe that can easily be taken off without comprising your hairstyle

How to Prep For Your Wedding Day Makeup

Leading Up:

  • Spray tan 2 days prior. This allows the tan to settle, develop fully, and gives you time to wash off any initial bronzer residue

  • If planning a facial, it's advisable to get a dermaplaning facial a few days before your wedding, around 3-5 days, to allow any potential redness or irritation to subside.

  • Create a hair/makeup itinerary for your bridal party to ensure everyone stays within the timeline

  • Stay hydrated! Drinking lots of water will ensure your skin is at it’s best

Day Of:

  • Arrive with a clean and moisturized face. If doing a facial mask, it’s recommended to do one the night prior. Now is not the time to experiment, use one that you trust!

  • Preferably makeup first before hair, however we can always work around styled hair

  • Ensure there is adequate space for your artists. This includes lots of table space and preferably natural light

  • Have your bridal party come prepared with hair and makeup inspiration. Remember that you are the deciding factor of their hair and makeup look, so if there is an overall look you are wanting to achieve, please make us and your party aware!
